Man Is this month have some pretty good anime out in japan!

Before I begin I haven't been on my blog for a while (about a month or two) due to the fact that of three reasons. One of course is me being lazy as hell. Two is in fact that I have a new laptop so I can upload videos onto youtube again (yay). And finally Im to busy watching some of the latest anime from japan (that I think that are interesting) for instance look at the pic above to see what I mean. Yes Aquarion Evol is the sequel to the cult following Genesis of Aquarion (from 2005) by the master mecha designer from macross and armored core Shoji Kawanori. At first I just wanted to check it out just because it was a mecha series (what I love mecha anime) and that I was bored so one day I desided to check it out and my god it was freaking AWESOME! Not cool or great but to describe the words to it AWESOME due to the animation, and of course mecha designs and combat. the characters designs are great but they remind me of macross frontier (I can get used to it) the soundtrack was amazing sound like it will be good for a gundam series (about gundam age I liked the series don't get me wrong but the soundtrack SUCKS) and from what Im guessing it was Yoko Kanno (the chick who did cowboy bebop, macross zero and frontier, turn a gundam, and of course the orignal Aquarion from 2005) but the only problem about Aquarion Evol was the story. Why you might ask is because this series takes place 12,000 years (WOAH that is a long time in storywise) after the orignal Genesis of Aquarion. And some internet sources said that the main characters are the reincardates of the orginal characters. Now I stop from there because it's getting out of topic like first I was talking about the feelings of this anime season (from japan) too now talking about Evol.

So the other series I got hooked into (that resently came out in Japan) is called Bodacious Space Pirates. From the pic it looks like another ecchi high school anime in a sci fi setting. But no it's not just a sci fi space anime with a high school girl as the main protagist it also has a pirate theme into it due in the fact the main characters father is the captian of the legendary Bentmaru. So I stop spoiling the pliot for those who didin't seen it but forchantly acording to the internet that this anime is coming out in the US by licencing by Sentai Filmworks. the animation was ok but desent, the character designs I have to say I liked the main character's. the music has sort of a tipical sci fi anime like Titania (I get to reviewing that series on my youtube chanel) with a twist of a pirates of the carribean feeling into it ( like those Irish intuements into it). The reason why I got hooked into this anime is because I first heard of it from a youtuber called Yokorama when he talked about the feelings of the 2012 anime season start up. When after I watched his video then afterwards I went to where I watch my streamed anime (oh it's not downloaded or anything). Then after I watched the first ep I became interested in this series and after watching it due it takes place in space and has a legendary spaceship and in fact the main characters are criminals (pirates or storywise muniners sorry for the spolier) I thought of this to myself. Hey this series reminds me of the hit sci fi anime Outlaw Star due to the reasons explained from the last sentence but what seperates it from the two is the tone of  the story. I first talk about diffenrences of Bodacious Space Pirates and Outlaw Star due to I allready explained the same elements. First BSP story is kinda light hearted to the point of a another high school girl anime then turned into a sci fi space adventure anime. While Outlaw Star's story is dark, grittier, has aliens, it's made for a more mature aduience unlike BSP. Second BSP has a pirate theme Outlaw Star on the other hand has a Bounty Hunterish theme along with a criminal on the run type of theme. also and finally BSP has a completely clueless high school girl who didint know that her father was a legendary space pirate and died recently. While outlaw star's Gene Highwind is a womanzier, loves to drink (what I think) has a sidekick named Jim Hawking and unknownly got invoved with the outlaw star due with a job that they got into and now on the run from police and space pirates or bounty hunters. Neveless BSP has to be the non mecha sci fi space anime I seen since outlaw star or recent non mecha anime since gungrave. and if it BSP comes out with DVD's im planing on buying those if it comes out in a dvd box set for a cheep or reasonable price.

Here's another anime that Yokorama explained in his video of the 2012 anime season. This pic you see here is a samurai niniaish anime called Brave 10. Brave 10 is focuses on the Yukimura Sanada brave 10 (which where in fact ninjas) but our main characters aren't ninja infact ones a samurai that looks like Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy Verses 13 (talk about complex name) due with his clothes and his hair do. Another one is a Priestess from a temple that gotten distoried by the main antagoist of the series that has the "moe" characteristics of a character (you know free going, clueless, damesel in distress) type as well have to add that into the bracket. The story of Brave 10 takes place in the late Sengoku or warring states period japan but the problem is that some of the characters designs are from the 21st century rather than the 1500 or 1600's. So anyways I stop it here because it's based on a manga series but I have to see more of the eps to get an understanding of the series. The animation was good, the character designs are exelent but they remind me of the capcom game series sengoku basara, the music is forgetable. the plot reminds me of a regular shohen series but neveless interesting enough to watch through the first ep. I recomend this series for those who love shohen, historical fiction, samurai series and might be looking for some action anime after watching all of those crappy "moe" high school animes. Note this is a non mecha sci fi anime series that I checked out. so you can stop calling me a mecha animetard.

Another new mecha anime series by production IG (the dude that did blood +,ghost in the shell, IPGX, and break blade, and the worst anime in ever in my opion dead leaves) I also heard of it when I was watching Yokorama's video. The only thing that I watched this Supar (or boring) series is that it has mecha in it. I watched this a couple of minutes before I typed this post. and what I have to say about it you ask all I can tell you is it's about a outgoing, good at sports, friendly, busy going into clubs (school activites like baseball, soccer, etc as they are called in Japan) that get's invove with a mecha the transforms from spaceship to plane (wow just like macross) I didin't make sense of the plot because it was boring and stupid but the one thing I liked was the mecha Langue but the other mecha designs are just plain or I say horrible. The animation in my opion poor, the character designs look kinda terrible like a shojo anime, the music couldn't capture my opion, plot stupid as hell like the most boring and retarted mecha anime series since Gun X Sword (yes I seen one ep and I said it was stupid as hell)

One more thing before I conclude this post is that this is the most intresting anime season since 2007 (with gundam 00, eureka seven) and anime I seen recently that are current and not from the 90's or early 2000's. Still that's not all the anime im looking up or planing to watch here's a list of anime that caught my interest and wanting to watch here.

AH yes one thing for certain that this has to be the sequel to one of my favortie mecha anime along with gundam and macross plus. It's called Eureka Seven Astrual Ocean I don't know about it so much exept the main character looks like Renton and Eureka's child due of the simualties of the two. Also invoves a new Nirvash type mecha instead of the Nirvash type zero.

Here's a another non mecha anime I wanted to see. It's called Area no Kishi or knight in the area in english. I can tell it's a soccer anime like captain tsubasa and whisle . For what I heard it's even more relistic than those two but it looks like it has promised feeling of a soccer anime like captain tsubasa and whistle and looks like an interesting watch. So anyways that all of the anime im planing to see so far so I have nothing else to see im going to do other things so I hope you enjoy reading this article so bye

The Wonders of Japanese only Video Game Inports

AH Japanese only video games it's a shame that none of these awesome games aren't qualified to released in other countries like cross over games, games based in famous anime and manga, old rpgs like some for the super nintendo, and recent games like some games in the cult following Namco Bandai's Tales series. but the only games im glad not to be released in international shores are these types of stupid series of games called HENTAI GAMES. So lets's get to the point about japanese only games. First of I will ready explaned about what is a Japanese only game the questions is how do you play these types of games. First of in order to play these games legally is that you must get a a japanese game concle for that unit (IE ps2) because of this stupid feature called region lock (why do they have this feature in game concles), an other reason for those who have a psp, or a gameboy, just inport it from amazion or ebay. Unfortantly people don't have the money nor the patience for legal inport gaming and as a result people make fan translations or post illegal copies of games (psp for wise) on the internet. Forgive me I do it to from time to time (with the emulators or games I can't seem to get on ebay easly) but not all people are pefect you know. And I cant explain about fan translation in a another post. So anyway let me tell you why Japanese only games aren't released into other countries? Why you ask if you can read it right here but the first and main reason that Japanese only games aren't in other countries is that the publishing company doesnt have enough money, resouces, translators, or better yet fan reaction. The second reason is consumer intrest why the number of sales determine international release? Saddly people can be really greedy at times with companies like capcom, square enix or even yet namco bandai. Can interfere with international releases (like the tales series). Then the thrid and final reasons are copyright issues like anime and manga franchies like the Moblie Suit Gundam games, most of the Fate Stay Night games, and most reconizable for gamers are the super robot wars series of games. Why they aren't released if the anime and manga are. That's invoves money and more talks with the licence owners. That's all I have to say for now but one more thing I have to say is that most japanese games these days come but due with a long long wait. So till then see ya soon

A Series About Transforming Fighter Jets, Pop Songs that stops confilcts, Soap Operas in Space and now has been nothing but a disapointment to me recently

Transforming Fighter Aircrafts, Aliens getting Used to peaceful methods of life, Pop Songs that stop battles, a long forgoten battle for international rights with an certain evil (IE HARMONY GOLD). Why I typed it you must ask because if you arent an anime fan you shouldnt reconzied the references to those words or get what im saying. Ok im referencing an mecha anime series called Super Dimension Fortress Macross or Macross for short. The series is created by a dude named Shoji kawanori (who also did designs for Gundam 83 stardust memory, mecha designs for ghost in the shell, mecha parts and mecha for armored core, to non mecha like the Outlaw Star) and a small studio called Nue. The very first Macross was very good in terms of storytelling, orginallty, and mecha designs and battles scenes. Not Just this amazing series became popular (almost in terms with Gundam) it also was bought to the US as Robotech (by harmony Gold) and did many changes to the series like making it into a daily series for after school cartoon programing. And adding two different series (Mospeada and Southern Cross) that no one cared for execpt for the one im mainly talking about above. As a result the robotech adaptiation of the series differs in storytelling, plot, and characters like it's another Universe of the orginal Shoji kawanori/ Studio Nue Macross. So After the explaining about the series and the very first title in the Franctise so why im disapointed with it. It's because of many reasons the first allready explained (read the sentence above that invoves with harmony gold and robotech) but it ain't the end of this post it's just the begining.

So as the series skyrocketed in terms in populary the studio that animated the series desided to do a movie based on the series called Do You Remember Love. The movie is an atterative story to the orginal anime series in terms of storyline and such. Also it includes new songs by Lynn Mimway, new mecha battles, remasted or redrawn events of inportantce in the orginal series. Hey about mecha battles and animation While I was looking on youtube of DYRL to watch I stumbled apon a clip or a scene of the movie of the ace pliot Maximilian Jenius  and Milia Fallyna Jenius fighting against each other. My God this scene is so breath taking it's like watching the orginal thundercats op theme on tv but 1000 times better heres the video here:

Awesome isn't it thanks to harmony Gold for baring Macross related stuff like this movie it could easily bought people into anime like a snap if they saw that and if they remember it. It could make it up to par with Akira and Ninja Scroll in terms of animation. Speaking of animation due that this was made in the mid 80's and CGI isn't invented just yet it must of been in hand drawn by animators themselves. Yes the video is in Japanese duh it's only released there and such and as I said before read the starting sentence of this paragraph. After a acouple of years after the movie and the tv series ended a sequel was annouced as macross 2 lovers again. Instead of praise like the orignal tv series and DYRL movie adapation it recived Flaks or other words hatred for a lot of reasons due to: it takes 80 years after the orginal so it almost or barley conects to the later macross titiles, The second reason is that the original macross creator Shoji kawanori and most of the orginal crew were not invoved in this project and as a result it SUCKED execpt the character designer and the director of the orginal series returned. Macross II lovers again sucked so bad that the orginal creator Shoji Kawanori made it into a attertive timeline just to not add with zero, orginal series, plus, seven and frontier. After a acouple years after macross II lovers again was made Shoji Kawanori decied to make a new macross story but as an anime movie but the producers wanted this work to be seperate four ova. This disapointed Kawanori but not to the point of quiting or arguing with the producers and continued the project. This project will be known as Macross Plus and it was advance for it's time (like in the mid 90's or 1994) like well made dogfights, animation, and even some CGI (not that cool or advance looking back in the mid 90's). Macross was an instant sucess that it was my top favorite in the macross series. Also it differed from other macross series because of characters dying, Bloodshed, adult protangist, and of corse a love triangle and my favorite because it was the most belivable and likeable due it featured to pliots that are former friends that became enemies (which was confilct of the whole movie) and one of the events that slowly or made them understand to put aside their differences together and try to rescure their love interest/ major character of Plus Myung. Due to the sucesss of the series of the ova the producers decided to put all four ova into one movie. Which is called the movie addition also there was another additon called the international editon because it features the English release of the movie (which was also the last and final release of the macross series overseases that isnt robotech). Now After that little talk about macross plus and the reason why I loved it so much in those passed sentences so to end the macross plus segment I decided to show you a short battle clip between the two protagist Issamu and Guld.

During the time as Macross Plus was released or was being developed. Shoji Kawanori was making a different macross series but with a different studio and team and was made for tv. The macross series that was made for tv was called Macross Seven. AH macross seven one of the most boringest, unintresting, very dramatic macross series to date intil it was beaten to frontier by an inch. So anyway Macross Seven is about this fictional (duh it's MACROSS) rock band by the name of fire bomber and the protangist are Bassara Nekki and his female band mate Mylene Flare Jenius as they protect the macross seven from the protodevin. Sounds intresting because it's not I tried watching the series like two times and I couldnt get passed the second episode due in the fact it's slow and boring as hell. I have to admit although I hate this series with a passion I liked the series opening theme Seventh Moon. And speaking of songs in the series Macross seven the soundtrack is just composed by fire bomber and as a result many, many, MANY soundtracks are produced just for this anime alone as well most of the songs in the macross series besides the orignal. So let end this paragraph about Macross Seven it's giving me the chillies while I type this. So anyway here's a video of the opening theme of Macross seven below also here's the second only thing I liked about this series is this op theme of macross seven Dynamite seven below the seventh moon video.

After many years after Plus and Seven were made the macross series wasnt making any new productions probly still enjoying the reruns and the success of those two. but fans are starting to get bored with these two and want another new macross series. So Shoji Kawanori which he works now at an anime studio by the name of Satelight. So as a result he made a much better macross series called macross zero. Now Macross Zero takes place one year before the orginal series taking place during the UN wars. Enough with the summary and get on with the disscussion. Macross Zero is the first project in the macross series in years (the project was made in 2003 and ended in 2006) it has 4 ova (like plus) Also thanks to better CGI it was possable to even make better dogfights, and better and cooler mecha (the cgi helped shoji kawanori with the mecha designs in the animation). Also Macross zero is my second favorite macross title (or behind macross plus) cuz it doesnt have that stupid soap opeah like drama, dumb unlikable protagnist. Besides from that Macross zero is the only one that features no pop songs instead we macross fans and followers got yoko kano instead of Lynn and marlyne. It also has a serious plot like plus but it takes place during a war. That's all I have to say for Zero for now so I like to end this paragraph with a video from zero.

So after a acouple of years later in 2008 a new macross series by the name of Frontier (recent macross series). Macross Frontier takes place in 2058 (I believe) in a colony named the macross frontier. It stars a dude from a line of kabuki actors who wants to be a Valkyre (the transformable mecha) pliot for the UN spacy. he fails the test to become an pliot but luckly the pliot for the VF 25 messiah dies during an operation aganist the series antagoist the Vajarah (sorry for spelling)  so as a result he becomes the new pliot instead. It's other protangist are Ranka Lee a happy go lucky girl who wants to be a pop star (a Lynn Mimway tribute) and Sheryl Nome ( a very famous pop star who's more mature and serious) which this makes another stupid love triangle. So I dont want to give out the detail or giving spoliers I have to stop talking about the series from a reviewers point and into a bloggers point of view. So Macross Frontier I have to say that series is okay and such but a disapointment due to using anime stereotypes (of today) for it's personalities of the characters. for instance Ranka Lee as the happy "moe" (one example of anime stereotype) girl. Also one of the reasons why I don't like Frontier is that the series doesn't have that old macross feeling or other words have more battles, another humanoid alien race that threatens the humans (unlike the insectlike Vaijra) and speaking about the Vaijra. The UE from Gundam age can beat all of the Vaijra's forces within an instant. Also the main Protanagist or the main character gets easliy overshadowed by singers (ie Ranka but Sheyl Nome is okay). The Rest of the supporting cast isn't rememable at all unlike the orginal (Roy Focker, Max Jenius) and Seven (the rest of the fire bomber bandmates, an zenradi ace pliot). One more thing I like to say about frontier before we get into the last part of this post. The only reason that I don't completly like Frontier is that of the dogfights Shoji Kawanori puts into because they look futursitic and flashy (but not better than dogfight in DYRL or the video I posted here) also I loved the mecha designs Shoji Kawanori made (he makes the best mecha designs in my opion). So that's conclude the Frontier part of this post so to truly end it heres some segments from the anime frontier.

So before I end this topic of Macross is to sum why im disapointed with macross series recenty is due to the fact the plots or story of each new series the almost the same execpt for zero and plus because they are the only ones that don't invove pop songs (oh I forgot plus invoves a virtual pop singer that turns evil). Also the weapons for the valkyre units are almost the same the missles, the main machine gun or the gunpod, and the laser beam guns if your missles run out. Oh yes Zero that series takes place before the orginal series by a year so it takes place during the UN wars. One more thing I have to explain because im getting tired of typing this because it took me acouple of days worth of work of doing this post. So anyway im upset that macross one of the series that was big in the mecha anime ganrue as well than bringing anime fans into anime as robotech in the us has been turn to an regular sci fi real robot anime instead of a masterpiece. so I have to conculde with this sentence with this: Although Macross is not as it used to be but it is still an keeps an interesting feeling in our hearts and is a good inspriation for mecha shows (even if they aren't Japanese) and Roy Focker why did you have to die. Also I have to add that I don't own the copyrights for macross at all and they belong to Shoji Kawanori, Studio Nue, Big West Advertising, and for internation copyrights all of the macross series outside Japan belong to Harmony Gold.

It's Good to be Back Into Blogging

Before I begin this post I have to say thank you Blogger for making things WAYYYY easier for me. Due to working with word press I had a ton of trouble working even the most simplest task when it comes to blogging like making your post or other words your page looks neat and easy to read. Also im still considered a rookie due to the lack of people coming to look at my blog. Also my grammar needs work REALLY BAD!! So anyway this blog will be like the last one (like word press) with reviewing anime classics and video games and dont forget I do non fiction books as well (but it's gonna be tricky at first different format and such reviewing those). Also it's unsual for me to post but Im gonna try posting like what's going on in my boring life. Also this blog is made just for my entertainment in other words you (the reader) will or won't see anything fancy like how that annoying youtuber by the name of Fred (why people watch that stuff anyway) oh yeah children. Or fancy smancy features on my blog and such anyways again I had fun with  seting up a blog with blogger (lol) rather than word press where there's all these features that I dont know about or to complex. So that's it for my post for now in other words look forward to my next post which I don't know but for certain it's a review or a another post like this but till then I bid ya farewell for now
